Getting Started with Gether

  • Think of Gether as your AI family assistant. You can forward via email anything you’d like on your dashboard -  Gether will pull out the key details and add them to your calendar and to-do’s … no manual entry needed. You’ll also get a daily reminder of what’s on via SMS so nothing slips through the cracks. Gether’s got your back.

  • If it helps you keep your family organised and with mental load reduction, email it. Gether can read any attachment so you can forward texts, WhatsApp messages, calendar invites, newsletters, school schedules, back to school events, family activities, birthday party invites… Here’s a list of all supported formats:

    • PDF

    • JPEG, PNG, GIF, BMP + HEIC

    • Microsoft Word, OpenDocument Text, HTML, RTF, plain text

    • Microsoft Excel, OpenDocument Spreadsheet, CSV, TSV, plain text

    • Microsoft PowerPoint, OpenDocument Presentation

  • Super easy! Send anything you'd like on your calendar and to-do list to ea@gether.life or your unique family email which you can find on your “Family” page in the app. Our family AI will read, sort, and auto-schedule everything for you. Whether it’s an email, a text, or a quick photo of a paper invite, we’ll pull out the details and update your calendar automatically. Say buh-bye to manually adding stuff to your calendar. That’s our job now.

    You can also add or edit events from within our app or via your Google Calendar once you set up calendar sync.

Managing Your Family’s Schedule

  • Absolutely! Gether is purposefully designed to be a collaborative family command center. Each membership lets you share access with partners, co-parents, caregivers, or family members, keeping everyone in the loop and your family connected.

    Gether has three levels of access - Family Owner, partner and carers. Family owners have complete control of the account and can delete and edit all family information and the account.  Partners can access, add and edit all events, tasks and notes in your family account and shared calendar. Carers can add and view everything  but cannot edit or delete anything.

  • The ea@gether.life email works when you send or forward things from the email address you signed up with or any other addresses you've added to your profile.

    You also can send emails to  your unique family address (located under your ‘family’ page in the app) from any address—even ones not linked to your profile—and they'll automatically be recognised and assigned to your account.

    This is great if you want a school, sports club or even a  co-parent  to send things directly to your family Gether account.

  • Yes, and as mums, we absolutely love this feature! Set up auto-forwarding, within your email account, for places you receive regular emails from - like your child’s school. You can forward from an individual address like “admin@yourschool.edu.au” or even a whole domain like “royschildcarecentre.com.” That means no more manually sorting through school newsletters to pull out important dates.

    Here’s how to set it up from the most used email apps:

  • Absolutely. Click on any event, note and task from the dashboard and you can edit and/or delete it. You can also add anything you like from the dashboard or email us the details and we’ll add it for you. Gether is still in Beta stage, so some entries might need a little tweaking — but we’re always improving! You can also sync your google calendar with Gether, so all of your events will be auto-added into your family calendar and vice versa.

  • Yes! Gether currently supports Google Calendar sync, letting you choose between one-way or two-way sync. That way, all your events stay updated and accessible from anywhere. Apple ical integration is coming soon.

    • 1-Way Sync: great for work calendars.
      View all your Gether events from within your existing work or personal calendar. Your work events won’t be imported or visible in Gether.

    • 2-Way Sync: Great for your personal or family calendar.

    Connect your Gether and Apple or Google calendars in real time. This means you can view events across both and when you edit one, it updates the other.

Reminders & Communications

  • Life gets busy, and things slip through the cracks — we get it. Gether sends a daily reminder via SMS to help busy parents stay on top of what’s on tomorrow and any tasks that are due. Whether it’s a football game, a doctor’s appointment, bill payment or a school project deadline, we’re here to support the whole family. You can even choose the time you’d like to receive your SMS on your profile page. You can also turn this feature off if you don’t want to receive any SMS messages from Gether.

  • Yes you can — simply forward any message to your family email address from within messages or whatsapp.

    Here’s a step-by-step for each app:

    Whatsapp:

    1. Press and hold the message you want to share.

    2. Tap ‘Forward’ from the options.

    3. Press the share icon (box with an upwards arrow).

    4. Select your email app and send it to your Gether family address.

    SMS (Messages App):

    1. Press and hold the message you want to share.

    2. Tap ‘More…’ from the options.

    3. Press the arrow icon.

    4. Enter your Gether family email as you would a phone number and send.

Privacy & Data Security

  • We understand AI is new to many parents and there are questions about how it works. Our AI focuses on extracting dates, times, tasks, and events — nothing more. It doesn’t profile multiple kids, store past tasks, or build a family profile.

  • We use your data solely to enhance your experience with Gether. This includes organising and scheduling your family's activities, sending reminders, and providing summaries. For more information please contact policy@gether.life.

  • Safeguarding your data is our top priority. We implement enterprise-grade security measures across every layer of our platform to ensure your information remains protected, private, and under your control.

    Data Protection

    Your data is secured with AES-256 encryption, the same standard used by governments and financial institutions, both during transmission and while stored. We enforce:

    • End-to-end encryption for all communications and file transfers.

    • Advanced threat detection to block phishing attempts, malware, and unauthorized access.

    Privacy by Design

    We minimise data retention and limit access:

    • Temporary processing: Automation workflows on 3rd party platforms delete data immediately after task completion, with no permanent storage.

    • No AI training: Chat completions on 3rd party platforms are never used to train or improve models, ensuring your interactions remain private.

    Access Controls

    Multi-layered safeguards prevent unauthorized use:

    • Strict authentication: All accounts require verified credentials, with optional two-factor authentication (2FA) for added security.

    • Role-based permissions: Granular privacy rules ensure users only access data they’re explicitly authorized to view or edit.

    Account Security

    We go beyond industry standards to protect your credentials:

    • Zero-knowledge storage: Passwords are irreversibly hashed and salted, making them unreadable even in the unlikely event of a breach.

    • Proactive safeguards: Suspicious login attempts trigger automatic alerts, while HTTPS encryption secures every browser interaction.

Pricing & App Access

  • We offer a 30 day free trial so you can see the magic yourself. After that, Gether is $9.90 a month for the whole family. That includes access for you, your partner, extended family, and any caregivers like an au-pair or a nanny.

  • Nope! Gether is a web app which means it allows you to access it from any browser and any device. Check out your dashboard from your phone, laptop or tablet just by signing in at https://app.gether.life/.

  • Absolutely and it is super easy! First, tap the share icon in your browser and select “add to homescreen.” After, tap add on the right-hand corner and you are all set! For visual instructions see our “How to page” in the app.
